Women’s Ministry
Teach – Reach – Disciple
The Women’s Ministry of Green Meadows seeks to nurture women as they grow in God’s grace. Our Bible studies and service projects create a balance of personal discipleship and evangelistic outreach. As we have received such blessing from the Lord, we want to bless others.
Whether on mission in the home raising disciples of Jesus, in the community serving those in need, or working on mission projects to impact our world, the women of Green Meadows are always on mission! They love coming up with new and exciting ways to serve others and want to live as Jesus did, “to serve and not to be served” (Mark 10:45)
We invite all women to join us in our various events of Bible Study, fellowship, and service.
Women on Mission
The Women on Mission of Green Meadows meet monthly to discuss how they are being called by God to reach out to others. Different ways the Women on Mission serve others include: preparing goody baskets for members recovering from surgery, filling backpacks with school supplies for children in need, making dolls and dresses for children in Honduras, collecting spare change and needed supplies for the Davie Pregnancy Care Center, creating supply kits for birthing centers in Honduras, filling Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes, and more! All women of Green Meadows are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. The Women on Mission also host fundraising events during the year, such as a barbecue chicken dinner and a bake sale, to help fund their many projects.
Outreach
Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Packing is one of the biggest outreach projects that our Women on Mission do. Each year, they collect supplies and fill over 100 shoe boxes that go to children in impoverished countries. All women of the church are invited to participate in their annual packing event in the church Fellowship Hall! It is a great time of fun and fellowship preparing the boxes for children in need. Details about the packing event will be available as the event draws near.
